Quick Start
Create a brand project, approve buyer prompts, and run your first AI visibility check.
BrandGeo monitors how selected AI models answer the questions your buyers ask. This guide takes you from a brand URL to an evidence-based first report.
Before you start
Prepare:
- the official brand name and website;
- the main country you want to monitor;
- the language buyers use for research;
- two or three direct competitors you can verify;
- a clear description of the product and target customer.
1. Start a free check
Open the BrandGeo homepage and enter the brand or website. Select the target country and prompt language. A website is required when the brand name alone is not enough to identify the company.
BrandGeo reads public homepage information to prepare a draft brand profile. It does not perform a full-site crawl at this stage.
2. Review the brand profile
Confirm the official name, aliases, category, positioning, audience, and summary. Correct any unsupported or ambiguous text. The profile is used to generate prompts and identify the brand in model responses.
See Project and brand setup for detailed guidance.
3. Confirm competitors
Suggested brands are candidates. Keep only direct alternatives a buyer could choose instead of your product. You can refine the list later from project settings.
4. Approve the prompts
Review each generated buyer question before the run. A good prompt represents real intent and does not force the assistant to mention your brand.
See Prompt management for examples and editing rules.
5. Run and read the report
Start the check and wait while the selected model tasks complete. In the report, review:
- brand mention and recommendation rates;
- prompt-level answers and positions;
- competitors found in each answer;
- citations and source domains when available;
- prioritized visibility gaps.
Open the exact response before acting on a summary metric. The report guide explains each measurement.
6. Continue monitoring
After creating an account and project, keep the approved prompts stable to build a comparable history. Free projects monitor weekly; paid plans can monitor daily and include additional model and export entitlements.
BrandGeo measures repeatable samples from configured API models. It does not represent every personalized consumer chat or a universal AI market-share score.
